Ante Timmermans uses extremelly simple techniques for his often black-and-white work. For his installations, he uses virtually obsolete equipment such as record players and overhead projectors. In this way, his work also forms an eye-witness account of the rapid changes that are taking place in our modern times. He focuses primarily on issues like the nature-culture debate and today's modern cities, which with their countless skyscrapers have nevertheless become ghost towns.
