Peter Buggenhout ( Dendermonde 1963 )

Peter Buggenhout makes rough installations and sculptures from textiles, every day and organic materials that seem frightening and unattractive at first sight. He could be said to turn his sculptures inside out, dissect them and analyse them in order to show the physical degeneration and imperfection of the human body. This effect is reinforced all the more in the context of a pristine museum room.
