For his contribution to Museum to Scale 1/7 Stefaan Van Akoleyen made a radically minimalistic and visually arresting installation with materials that he has used numerous times in the past. Using shiny, adhesive tape in a variety of base colors, the artist has covered the floor, walls, and ceiling of the gallery. Van Akoleyen started making art in the 90’s and was ‘discovered’ by noted Belgian artist Jan Fabre, who found his work to be original and his choice of materials fascinating.
