Hannes Van Severen links the worlds of reality and imagination by transforming everyday objects such as a washbasin or a stairway. The object maintains a visual reference to the Original but the Original functionality disappears, so that the aesthetic value of the new object predominates. Van Severen hereby calls reality into doubt and shows the absurdity that surrounds us.
