The oeuvre of Sofie Muller moves around the narrative lines of physicality, sex, sexuality, identity and transformation. Muller uses symbolic elements in her sculptural works and combined installations. Her way of working and her use of materials often result in an aesthetic that is at odds with the painful subjects she handles.
