Robert Devriendt makes small paintings that are shown in series. The miniature scenes do not appear to have any connection with one another, but the viewer's association confer meaning on the sequences of fragmentary representations of people, animals, landscapes and spaces. The resulting narrative often has a sexual and violent undertone.
