The work of Pascal Bernier refers to the tradition of the still-life and the memento mori. His installations, videos, sculptures and photographs present a disfigured and damaged nature in a poetic, critical and amusing way. The work is both disturbing and humorous. Bernier wants to show how Industrial society makes increasing demands on nature to satisfy its own needs.
